Visa for Nepal.
First of all, check online if your nationality is eligible for a visa on arrival.
The first way to get a visa for Nepal, is at the airport of Kathmandu at your arrival.
If you decide to enter Nepal through India or China, then you can buy a visa at all the border checkpoints.
Make sure your international passport is valid for more then 6 months at the time of your arrival. Take cash money. You can buy the visa with the euro, the American Dollar, the Australian Dollar, the British Pound, the Swiss Frank,... Credit cards are not accepted. The Indian and Nepalese rupees are not accepted as a currency to pay your visa.
The price of your visa depends on the length of your stay:
15 days: 25 $ --- 30 days: 40 $ --- 90 days: 100 $ (or equal in another valuta)
You can stay maximum 150 days per year in Nepal with a tourist visa.
The form you need to fill in for the application of your visa, you can find online on the website of immigration. Take a print of this online application with you. This application can only be done 15 days before your date of arrival in Kathmandu. In case you forget this, you can fill in this application form at one of the electronic desks at the arrival hall.
You have to fill in a small registration form upon arrival in Tribhuvan airport. This document you receive before landing in the plane or you pick it up in the arrival hall in front of the immigration desks in Kathmandu airport.
You go with your visa fee, your international passport and the filled in forms to the special desk for visa applications where you pay for your visa. Here you will receive a ticket that you paid the amount. With this ticket and all of your documents, you proceed to the desks of the immigration office. The officer will put your visa in your passport and stamp it.
Make sure you don`t loose your luggage label - you will need this label to take your luggage out of the airport, as a proof that it`s yours.

Visa at an Embassy or Consulate of Nepal.
The second option to obtain a visa is at the Embassy or Consulate of Nepal in your home country. This information you can easily find online.
The visa is then already in your passport when you arrive in Nepal. You don`t have to queue for paying the visa fee and can proceed immediately to the immigration desks.
