This trek follows part of the route through the high pass of Cho La (5330m/17,486 ft) leading to Everest Base Camp. At that point the trail divides and you take an other route. Gokyo is a region with highland lakes and glittering icy glaciers. On the way to the Gokyo lakes, you`ll pass several herds of grazing yaks. You climb the Gokyo Ri peak (5350 m/17,552 ft) for the amazing panoramic views. You get the chance to see some impressive eight-thousand-peaks, including the Mt. Everest, the Mt. Makalu and the Mt. Cho Oyo. This trail is less populated than others in the Everest region.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Flight to Lukla – trek to Phakding (2652m). 2-3hrs
Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3420m). 5hrs.
Day 4: Acclimatisation in Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Trek to Phortse Thanga (3600m). 5hrs.
Day 6: Trek to Machhermo (4410m).5hrs.
Day 7: Trek to Gokyo (4750m) – 4 hrs.
Day 8: Trek to Gokyo Ri (5357m) 4 hrs.
Day 9: Trek to Dole (4000m), 5-6 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar, 5-6 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to Phakding, 5-6 hrs
Day 12: Trek to Lukla, 3-4 hrs
Day 13: Flight to Kathmandu.
Day 14: Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 15: Transfer to the airport.
Acclimatisation days are vital and we advise strongly to let them in the itinerary.
In case of bad weather it is possible that you can not fly from or to Lukla. Make sure to have some spare days at the end of your stay in Nepal.

Please keep in mind that a trek in the Himalayan Mountains requires a flexible and emphatic mind. During your trek you are lacking some of the basic luxuries like electricity and hot showers. Due to weather conditions, health issues, fitness of group members or sudden natural disasters (like landslides, snow storms, earth quakes, flooding...) we may have to change your itinerary. We try to do our best to follow the outlined itinerary of your booked trek, but your safety and well-being stays our primary concern. In case the trek an amendment of your trek is necessary, it is our group leader or head guide who takes this final decision.
You can fill in your remaining days in Nepal with a wide range of activities. Discover some days the jungle in one of the nationals parks in the South of Nepal, go enjoying the shores of Phewa lake in Pokhara or visit the cultural sites in Kathmandu Valley.
