The Gurung Heritage trail is a recently opened trekking trail in the lower part of the Annapurna region. The trail offers a spectacular view on the mountains, and gives you a chance to be part of the rural community of the Gurung inhabitants.
This short trek is perfect tot have a splendid view on the Dhaulagiri, the Manaslu, the Annapurna, the Lamjung Himal and several other peaks.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Free day in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, where you start your trek to Khudi (800m/ 2,624ft).
Day 4: Today you walk 5 to 6 hours to Gale Gaun (2050m/6,725ft or Ghangpkohara (2150m/ 7,053ft).
Day 5: Trek of 3 hours to Bhujung Village (1650m/ 5,413ft)
Day 6: Trek of 5 hours to Pasgaun (1750m/ 5,741ft)
Day 7: Trek of 3 hours to Sindhi (1775m/ 5,823ft)
Day 8: Trek of 5 hours to Nagidhar or Pakhurikot (1350m/ 4,429ft)
Day 9: Trek of 2 hours to the ending point of the trek and a drive with privat transport of 3 hours to Pokhara. You spend the night in Pokhara.
Day 10: Drive with touristbus back to Kathmandu.
Dag 11: Transfer to airport for flight back home.
The drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu can be done with private transport or an internal flight.

Please keep in mind that a trek in the Himalayan Mountains requires a flexible and emphatic mind. During your trek you are lacking some of the basic luxuries like electricity and hot showers. Due to weather conditions, health issues, fitness of group members or sudden natural disasters (like landslides, snow storms, earth quakes, flooding...) we may have to change your itinerary. We try to do our best to follow the outlined itinerary of your booked trek, but your safety and well-being stays our primary concern. In case the trek an amendment of your trek is necessary, it is our group leader or head guide who takes this final decision.
You can fill in your remaining days in Nepal with a wide range of activities. Discover some days the jungle in one of the nationals parks in the South of Nepal, go enjoying the shores of Phewa lake in Pokhara or visit the cultural sites in Kathmandu Valley.
