This part of the classical `teahouse`-trek takes you along spectacular mountain views until you cross the Thorung La Pass. This pass is with its 5416 meter probably the highest one you will ever cross without mountaineering shoes. You hike mainly in the home region of the ethnical Manang-population.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer from airport to hotel.
Day 2: With private transport from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule (840m).
Day 3: Start of the trek. You walk through several villages to Ghermu Phant (1140m).
Day 4: Trek from Ghermu Phant to Tal (1700m).
Day 5: Trek to Danakyu (2190m), where you have a beautiful view on the Manaslu (8172m) and other peaks.
Day 6: Trek to Chame (2670m), the capital of the Manang district.
Day 7: Trek to Lower Pisang (3200m).
Day 8: Trek to Manang (3540m).
Day 9: Acclimatization day in Manang. Daywalk to Ganggapurna Lake.
Day 10: Trek to Yak Kharka (4050m) or Ledar (4200m)
Day 11: Trek to Thorung Phedi (4450m) or Thorung High Camp (4925m)
Day 12: You get up in the early morning to cross the Thorung La Pass (5416m) and you walk to Muktinath (3760m). 8 to 9 hrs.
Day 13: Trek to Jomsom (2720m)
Day 14: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. The rest of the day you can spend in Pokhara.
Day 15: Busdrive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Day 16: Transfer to the airport.

Please keep in mind that a trek in the Himalayan Mountains requires a flexible and emphatic mind. During your trek you are lacking some of the basic luxuries like electricity and hot showers. Due to weather conditions, health issues, fitness of group members or sudden natural disasters (like landslides, snow storms, earth quakes, flooding...) we may have to change your itinerary. We try to do our best to follow the outlined itinerary of your booked trek, but your safety and well-being stays our primary concern. In case the trek an amendment of your trek is necessary, it is our group leader or head guide who takes this final decision.
You can fill in your remaining days in Nepal with a wide range of activities. Discover some days the jungle in one of the nationals parks in the South of Nepal, go enjoying the shores of Phewa lake in Pokhara or visit the cultural sites in Kathmandu Valley.
