The trek to the Northern Base Camp of the Kanchenjunga is an ideal trek in the far Eastern part of Nepal. The region is opened for trekking since 1998.
With its height of 8586 meters/ 28,169 feet, the Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world and is located near the border of Nepal with the Indian region of Sikkim.
This trek is slightly longer than the average trek, but explores remote parts of the Himalayas on the northern side of the Kanchenjunga. The path rises through beautiful scenery, passing through farmers villages and untouched forests until you reach the impressive base camp on the Pang Pema (5140m/ 16,863ft), a glacier on the northern side of the Kanchenjunga.
