Langtang Valley Trek is an enjoyable trek, close to Kathmandu.
We begin our trekking in the lower part of the Langtang Valley and walk through small farmer villages, farmers fields and forests until we arrive in Kyangjin Gompa. For an astonishing sunrise and views over the Langtang range we climb Tserko Ri. This area borders with Tibet and we can still see the influence of the Tibetan culture.
We also visit Langtang Village, which was totally destroyed by the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in April 2015.
Day 1: Arrival and welcome day in Kathmandu (1300m), hotel transfer.
Day 2: Trekking preparation and sightseeing day in the Kathmandu valley.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1610m) by bus - 7 hours.
Day 4: Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2480m) for 6 hour
Day 5: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3541m) for 5 hours.
Day 6: Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjin Ri (4773m) and to Kyanjin Gompa for 5 hours.
Day 7: Trek Kyanjin Gompa to Chorka Ri or Tsergo Ri (5050m) and back to Kyanjin Gompa for 6 hours.
Day 8: Trek to Lama Hotel (2480m) for 6 hours.
Day 9: Trek to Syabrubesi for 5 hours.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu by bus for 6 hours.
Day 11: Farewell and departure day in Kathmandu
Combine with: Tamang Heritage Trail, Helambu or Gosainkund
Airport transfer upon arrival and departure in Nepal;

Please keep in mind that a trek in the Himalayan Mountains requires a flexible and emphatic mind. During your trek you are lacking some of the basic luxuries like electricity and hot showers. Due to weather conditions, health issues, fitness of group members or sudden natural disasters (like landslides, snow storms, earth quakes, flooding...) we may have to change your itinerary. We try to do our best to follow the outlined itinerary of your booked trek, but your safety and well-being stays our primary concern. In case the trek an amendment of your trek is necessary, it is our group leader or head guide who takes this final decision.
You can fill in your remaining days in Nepal with a wide range of activities. Discover some days the jungle in one of the nationals parks in the South of Nepal, go enjoying the shores of Phewa lake in Pokhara or visit the cultural sites in Kathmandu Valley.
