Pickey Peak Trek

Pikey Peak trek is a recently opened trekking trail in the Everest Region. From Pikey peak you have a majestic view of the Mount Everest and surrounding mountains.
The trail takes you through beautiful settlements, you have the chance to visit the ancient Buddhist Monastery of Thupten Chholing and you get to know the unique Sherpa culture.
Enjoy a beautiful sunrise and sunset from Pickey Peak and enjoy views of the peaks beyond the Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan range of Mt. Everest, Makalu and Annapurna.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazzar (2850m/ ) - 7 hours by private car
Day 4: Trek to Jhapre 2815m/4 hours via Sigane
Day 5: Trek to Pikey Base Camp 3585m/5 hours
Day 6: Trek to Junbesi 2680m/6 hours via Pikey Peak 4065m
Day 7: Day trip to Thupten Chholing Gompa 2920m/4 hours walk
Day 8: Trek to Phaplu 2380m/4 hours walk
Day 9: Domestic flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu
Day 10: Extra day in Kathmandu
Day 11: Departure day. Transfer to airport

Please keep in mind that a trek in the Himalayan Mountains requires a flexible and emphatic mind. During your trek you are lacking some of the basic luxuries like electricity and hot showers. Due to weather conditions, health issues, fitness of group members or sudden natural disasters (like landslides, snow storms, earth quakes, flooding...) we may have to change your itinerary. We try to do our best to follow the outlined itinerary of your booked trek, but your safety and well-being stays our primary concern. In case the trek an amendment of your trek is necessary, it is our group leader or head guide who takes this final decision.
You can fill in your remaining days in Nepal with a wide range of activities. Discover some days the jungle in one of the nationals parks in the South of Nepal, go enjoying the shores of Phewa lake in Pokhara or visit the cultural sites in Kathmandu Valley.
